Ok. This is one of the oddest columns I've found myself enjoying. I don't agree with it. Not in the least. I think that considering a child to be a 'leech' or a 'parasite' and finding such a viewpoint to be acceptable is perhaps one of the grossest liberties a female could take with the right to have an opinion. That being said, I can understand how it's necessary that at least a percentage of the female population think this way. The world is soon to be well over-crowded and if enough women decide they not only don't care to have children but will do what it takes to not conceive, then, perhaps, the better for all concerned. If unwanted children are not conceived, born, and resented, it will be all the better for the ‘breeders’ and their desired, loved and rejoiced children. So! Kudos to the Housewife for having a conviction and resisting the urge to impose it on others. |
